Testimonials
“Emily is an exciting writer with exciting ideas that end up as exciting stories well told. I’m going to predict that she will go on writing amazing work that will be published and widely read.”
“Her writing is accomplished, varied, interesting, prosaic, with a kind of ease in its delivery that is compelling in and of itself. She can write about a dead spider and make me stick with it through to the end because the writing is so solid.”
“She’s an inspiration for her honesty, earnestness, and work ethic. She’s also quite an intellect.”
“You’re amazing! You were able to grasp what I wanted to convey and helped me articulate it.”
“I just wanted to reach out to thank you for encouraging [my son] to read Catch 22... He used to be a big time reader—like reading hours and hours a day—but since he got his dreaded smartphone, that’s fallen off quite a bit so it’s nice to see him interested in a book again. I know he really loved you as a teacher so the fact it came from you is very meaningful to him.”
“Now Ms. Dillon, she had that type of energy in her that made you have to smile whenever you talked to her regardless of the situation.”
“I do not know if you get kudos enough for your support of the 9th graders, but it is important that you hear it from me. I truly value you as a colleague because I know that my students feel genuine care and regard when connecting with you. Thank you for picking up on nuances as well. It is because of you that [a student] will now be receiving the support that he needs for his academic success. There are many more like him that I can count from my caseload alone, so THANK YOU!”
